It’s been “The Longest Time,” but Billy Joel is finally returning to Toronto.
The Piano Man himself is set to grace the stage at Rogers Centre on March 15, 2025, in what will be his first time performing in Toronto in over a decade. The Toronto show will be Joel’s only Canadian date.
Concert tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 25 at 10 a.m. Presale will be available on Monday, Oct. 21 at 10 a.m.
Known for piano playing and his signature blend of pop and rock music, Joel, 75, ranks among the best-selling artists of all-time.
His first album, “Cold Spring Harbor,” came out in 1971. Since then, he’s released a dozen more studio albums, seven live albums and 18 compilations album, and has sold more than 150 million records worldwide.
Today, he’s best known for mega-hits such a “Piano Man,” “We Didn’t Start The Fire,” “Uptown Girl,” and “New York State of Mind.”
In July, Joel performed for the 150th time at Madison Square Garden in New York City, marking the most lifetime concerts at the storied venue by any artist.
The last time he was in Toronto was at Scotiabank Arena on March 9, 2014, though he did perform a gig at the newly-opened OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls last winter.
Joel is the latest major artist to announce a 2025 trip to Toronto, joining Coldplay, Metallica and, of course, the long-awaited Oasis reunion tour at Rogers Stadium next summer.
